Three men were ar­rest­ed and a firearm and am­mu­ni­tion seized dur­ing an an­ti-crime op­er­a­tion in Las Lo­mas.

Po­lice said the op­er­a­tion was con­duct­ed be­tween 11 pm on Sat­ur­day and 2 am on Sun­day un­der Op­er­a­tion RES­OLUTE Shield 2026.

The op­er­a­tion was based on in­tel­li­gence and took place along Ca­roni South Bank Road, near In­dulge Bar.

Po­lice ar­rest­ed Ni­vash Maraj, 24, of Gan­ga Trace, Las Lo­mas, who was found with a Glock 26 pis­tol and five rounds of 9mm am­mu­ni­tion.

Maraj is fac­ing sev­er­al firearm and am­mu­ni­tion-re­lat­ed charges, in­clud­ing shoot­ing with in­tent.

Avinash De­osaran, 25, of Ca­roni South Bank Road, Las Lo­mas, was ar­rest­ed and found with three 9mm rounds.

Mehin­dra Roopchan­sh­ingh, 22, of St He­le­na Vil­lage, Pi­ar­co, was al­so ar­rest­ed and found with five 9mm rounds.

Po­lice said the op­er­a­tion was in­ci­dent-free.
