Tobago police have detained a 25-year-old woman in connection with island’s second murder for the year.
The victim, Anderson Baboonanan, 32, of South Oropuche, Trinidad, was stabbed repeatedly during a domestic incident shortly after midnight yesterday at Lowlands, near the Gulf City Mall. At the time, he was driving along the Claude Noel Highway in the company of a woman.
Baboonanan, who suffered stab wound to his neck and body was taken to the Scarborough General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed to determine the cause of death. The suspect, who is also from South Trinidad, is assisting the police.
Officers from the Tobago Homicide Bureau are continuing investigations.
