Trinidad Pub­lish­ing Co Ltd (TPC) took the li­on's share of the awards at Hilton Trinidad's an­nu­al Me­dia Ap­pre­ci­a­tion Brunch at the ho­tel yes­ter­day. Win­ning in the En­vi­ron­ment cat­e­go­ry were Guardian's Camille Clarke with her piece, Coastal Degra­da­tion, and CNC3's Ot­to Car­ring­ton and Samp­son Nan­ton for their works Jabaru Storks and Tur­tles at Grand Re­viere, re­spec­tive­ly.

In the Eco­nom­ic Pro­duc­tiv­ty cat­e­go­ry, the Guardian was al­so in win­ners' row with Cherisse Moe for Fight­ing Vi­cious Food Prices and Shal­iza Has­sanali for US cit­i­zen: I just want to go home. Guardian's Michelle Loubon won in the Sport cat­e­go­ry with We are safe in T&T. Has­sanali won an­oth­er award in the Youth Re­lat­ed Af­fairs cat­e­go­ry with A life with­out hope, while her Sun­day Guardian col­league Yvonne Ba­boolal topped the Tourism cat­e­go­ry for Spir­it lash sends guards run­ning.
