Ulrich John was killed when a utility pole fell on him in Rousillac.

TSTT says it is currently investigating the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the incident in which Ulrich John was injured and subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

Investigations are underway into the accidental death of the Aripero man who was killed by a falling utility line on Monday.

According to reports, UJohn was in Rousillac Village visiting his mother around 10 am when disaster struck.

Eyewitnesses told police that he was just about to enter his mother's yard along Virginia Avenue when a truck belonging to Massy Stores was heading along the Southern Main Road.

The truck accidentally got hooked up to some low lying TSTT cables, pulling them down.

TSTT has issued a statement expressing "sincere condolences" to John's family and "assures that this incident will be thoroughly investigated".

It says that at this time, TSTT has no further comment as the investigation is in progress.
