The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) will activate an additional hotline for school principals and supervisors ahead of the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) examination.
In a release dated March 23, 2026, T&TEC stated that the hotline is intended to support electricity service at SEA centres on Thursday March 26, 2026.
The hotline will be operational from 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 25, 2026 and will continue until 3:00 p.m. on exam day.
Principals and supervisors can report disruptions in electricity service or electrical safety concerns by calling 794-4823 or 794-7264.
T&TEC stated that its standard Trouble Report numbers, 800-BULB (2852) and 800-TTEC (8832), will remain available on a 24-hour basis.
The commission advised that there will be no planned power interruptions on the day of the examination.
T&TEC stated that the measure is part of its arrangements for the SEA examination period.
The commission also extended wishes to students writing the examination.
The SEA examination is written by primary school students seeking placement in secondary schools.
T&TEC stated that it will monitor electricity service at examination centres during the period covered by the hotline.
The commission advised that reports received through the hotline will be addressed by its teams.
T&TEC urged principals and supervisors to use the hotline numbers if issues arise during the examination period.
