The Trinidad and Tobago Publishers and Broadcasters Association (TTPBA) congratulates CNC3 on its 20th anniversary. After beginning as a cable news channel in 2005, we quickly saw the station grow into a free-to-air television station by 2008.
As a subsidiary company of Guardian Media Limited, CNC3 has always had representation on the TTPBA, with the group as a whole contributing to and supporting the role and decisions of the TTPBA. Its offerings as a television station in the form of entertainment, sports and news, added considerable value to the broadcast media landscape and to its own group, Guardian Media Limited.
Like all legacy media in Trinidad and Tobago, CNC3 has faced significant challenges that come with a constantly evolving media landscape. They have adapted well to accommodate the turn towards social media platforms by its public, for news, even with the challenge of the inability to monetise digital content.
CNC3 has shown that it is capable of navigating a media environment that is AI-driven, with misinformation and deep fakes that threaten the public’s trust.
The Board of Directors and members of the TTPBA take this opportunity to wish CNC3, its management and staff, many more years of success in media as a news and entertainment source.
