Two men were charged for lar­ce­ny of mo­tor ve­hi­cles in sep­a­rate in­ci­dents as po­lice con­tin­ue ex­ten­sive in­ves­ti­ga­tions in­to stolen ve­hi­cle re­ports.

Two ve­hi­cles re­port­ed stolen were al­so re­cov­ered. Ter­rence Shell­ford John­son, 35, of Sam Bou­caud, San­ta Cruz was ar­rest­ed and sub­se­quent­ly charged on Fri­day. He is the sec­ond sus­pect to be ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with a sil­ver Toy­ota Aqua that had been re­port­ed stolen in the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion in March. The ve­hi­cle was seized by of­fi­cers of the Stolen Ve­hi­cles Squad on March 17, 2023.

John­son, a used car sales­man, was grant­ed bail of $100,000 with a sure­ty by Jus­tice of the Peace Stephen Young. He is ex­pect­ed to ap­pear at the Cou­va Mag­is­trates’ Court on Sep­tem­ber 21. Ear­li­er this week, of­fi­cers in­ter­cept­ed a sil­ver Nis­san Aqua mo­tor ve­hi­cle, with two oc­cu­pants. Checks re­vealed the ve­hi­cle had been re­port­ed stolen from the West­ern Di­vi­sion. A 20-year-old from Diego Mar­tin and a 22-year-old from Lopinot Road, Arou­ca were ar­rest­ed.

The lat­ter, Chris­t­ian Joshua was charged on Fri­day.

Dur­ing a rov­ing ex­er­cise con­duct­ed in the Di­vi­sion on Fri­day, a sil­ver Nis­san Ti­i­da re­port­ed stolen in Barataria was al­so re­cov­ered

at Spar­row Dri­ve, Sime­on Road, Pe­tit Val­ley.

Of­fi­cers of the St. Joseph CID are con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions af­ter re­cov­er­ing a sil­ver Nis­san Syl­phy that had been re­port­ed stolen in

St. Joseph on Thurs­day.

Dur­ing an Op­er­a­tion Blue Line ex­er­cise con­duct­ed on Fri­day be­tween 8 and 10 am, based on in­for­ma­tion re­ceived, of­fi­cers pro­ceed­ed to Sadoo Trace, El So­cor­ro Ex­ten­sion. A search of the area led to the re­cov­ery of the ve­hi­cle.
