Po­lice have held two sus­pects in con­nec­tion with the rob­bery in­volv­ing Min­is­ter of Health Ter­rence Deyals­ingh MP.

Po­lice say of­fi­cers of the In­ter-Agency Task Force (IATF) went to St Paul Street, where they saw a blue Hyundai Elantra which they be­lieve was in­volved in the rob­bery .

Po­lice in­ter­cept­ed the car and held two male sus­pects.

The men were hand­ed over to St Joseph po­lice, who are con­tin­u­ing the in­ves­ti­ga­tions.

Min­is­ter Deyals­ingh was robbed at gun­point on Tues­day, as he sat by a bar in his con­stituen­cy of St Joseph.

In a 50-sec­ond video that sur­faced on so­cial me­dia, the Health Min­is­ter could be heard speak­ing on a cell­phone to some­one, re­cap­ping the or­deal.

Ter­rence Deyals­ingh, 66, ex­plained to the per­son on the oth­er end of the phone call that two men had walked up to him and took his bracelet.
