One man remained hospitalised yesterday while a second was treated and discharged after they were stabbed during an argument with a man known to them.
Police said the victims ages 21 and 34, of Arima were reportedly standing along Jean Street around 9.30 pm on Tuesday, speaking with the suspect, when a disagreement arose.
It was alleged the suspect became violent and dealt the 21-year-old man several stab wounds on his body.
As the younger victim collapsed, his friend attempted to quell the altercation but he too was dealt several stabs about the body by the suspect who then escaped in a waiting car.
The two victims were taken to the Arima Health Facility, where they were treated
The 21-year-old man was later transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, where he remains in a critical condition.
The second victim was treated for minor injuries and discharged.
