A man was shot last night mere meters away from the Valencia Police Post. He eventually died at hospital.
According to reports, around 9 pm police said they heard gunshots. CC TV footage posted on social media showed a crowd scattering from the scene. Moments later, a man stumbled onto the roadway and collapsed.
When police arrived, they saw a crowd of people assembled. On further checks, they saw a man lying on the ground with multiple shot wounds about the body.
He was still alive.
He was placed into a car by police and rushed to the Sangre Grande Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The deceased was identified as Ivan Lambkin from his ID found in his pocket.
