A 32-year-old food vendor survived a brutal knife attack following ‘ole talk’ between himself and a fellow villager.
Despite losing a lot of blood, Marlon Taylor, 32, of Marabella, remained at the San Fernando General Hospital in a stable condition on Monday.
A report stated that around 4.45 am Sunday, Taylor, the owner of “Trini Come” in Marabella, took his girlfriend to Belle Bagai Bar along the Southern Main Road. As she went to use the ladies room, Taylor met the suspect and after a few minutes of conversation, an argument broke out.
Witnesses told police that the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed Taylor in the neck and chest, and ran off.
Patrons took the injured man to the hospital where he underwent emergency treatment to stem his heavy bleeding.
Marabella police led by PC Matloo responded and combed the area for the suspect. He was found hours later, along Bayshore Avenue.
