The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) said this while effecting repairs to its 42” pipeline located in the vicinity of the Santa Rosa Racetrack, yesterday works were halted due to unforeseen health and safety concerns.
WASA said in keeping with safety best practices, all personnel and equipment were removed from the site.
The Authority said this stoppage required further collaboration between the Ministry of Works and Transport, Highways Division, Bridges Department and the Authority.
It said, "At this time, we are confident that all health and safety concerns have been addressed and upon completion of some structural works, the Authority will be able to resume the pipeline repair works, which we anticipate will be completed by noon tomorrow."
Upon completion, supply will be restored to the affected zone.
