The body of a woman was found dumped at the side of a deserted quarry road in Valencia on Sunday.
Police believe she was stabbed to her chest and there were marks of violence to her face.
The victim was not immediately identified. Police are trying to match her description to that of women reported missing.
Investigators said the woman was wearing a wig, and dressed in a pair of grey underwear, and red sleeveless top. She has two tattoos on her shoulders with the word "Blunt" and what appeared to be a marijuana leaf.
Police believe the woman was murdered elsewhere and thrown at the side of Tapana Road late Saturday night. There was no blood at the scene.
Around 8.10 am on Sunday, police officers were alerted a villager informing them of a dead woman’s body lying at the side of the road.
Sgt Garcia and a team of police officers from Valencia Police Post were the first responders and were later they were joined by Homicide Officers from Arouca Bureau Region 11. Police are calling on members of the public to contact the Valencia Police at 667 -9030 to help identify the victim.
