National team striker Cornell Glen last week signed a new deal with Indian I-League club Shillong Lajong GC for the for the 2013-14 I league season.
Glen is preparing for the Concacaf Gold Cup and will say goodbye to his current club North East Stars.
"It's a new chapter in my career which I'm looking forward to. The offer was good and I believe it's the right move for me. The football in India is growing and I'm quite excited to be part of it," Glen said.
"I've been patiently pacing myself and I feel great at the moment. I want to put my best foot forward for the national team and I'm quite excited about the latest developments heading into the Gold Cup. Hopefully I can be part of the plans for the new coaching staff," Glen added.
Current T&T team captain Densill Theobald played for one season with Indian club Dempo last season.
Larsing Ming, general secretary of Shillong Lajong Football Club, said: "We are extremely pleased with the signing of Cornell Glen and thank Libero Sports India who facilitated the transfer. I am confident Glen will gel well with the rest of the team and we look forward to him joining us."
