Manning wasting the nation’s time
These allegations are continuing for one purpose only: to disrupt the business of Parliament and the nation. It is time for the Prime Minister to file her suits for libel, slander and defamation against Manning, and to have him therefore muzzled in public. The nation’s business demands this.
It is time for the Speaker to rule on the motion for Manning to be taken before the Privileges Committee of Parliament, and to prevent Manning from making contin- uing unsupported allegations against the PM. But if Manning has evidence, let him bring it. The nation’s business demands that Persad-Bissessar’s house be taken off the agenda.
