T&TEC will be looking to push its lead up by three points over second place WASA, when it faces defending champion Joe Public in (Match Day 20) the bmobile National Super League at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, this afternoon from 3.30 pm.
The unbeaten "Electricity Boys" are on 37 points, five clear of their fellow utility company team, and a win would surely increase their chances of taking this year's title after it evaded them last season. The power company team will be hoping to replicate last Thursday's performance where it mauled Valtrin 9-0.
From the looks of things this season a new winner will be crowned, as the "Eastern Lions", the defending champion, are currently in seventh place on 19 points from 14 matches. Even if they should win all their remaining six matches, it will not be enough to retain the title.
Meanwhile, 1976 Phoenix will be fancying its chance to join WASA in second spot, when it takes on Defence Force on the St James Barracks ground.
