Tranquillity Government Secondary outmuscled St Anthony's College 17-7 to earn a place in the Digicel Schools' Rugby final. This was in their semifinal encounter at the Queen's Park Savannah last month. The match started fast and furious with both teams looking for a place in the final on December 11 against hosts Fatima College at Fatima College Ground, Mucurapo Road. Tranquillity Secondary scored first with a brilliant line break from the centre of the pitch to finish in the corner.
The second came shortly after, and it seemed like the flood gates were going to open just like the weather, as St Anthony's College came close to scoring as the first-half came to an end. St Anthony's, wasn't going to give Tranquillity the win so easily and scored between the uprights for and easy conversion to trail 10-7. The match was now at a frantic pace with both teams knowing the next score will decide the game. With five minutes to go, Tranquillity broke through the St Anthony's stubborn defence for a score under the posts to seal the 17-7 victory and a date with Fatima in the title match.
