The country's leading golf teachers will have to wait until January to know the winner of the inaugural Teachers Cup Tournament hosted by the Chaguaramas Golf Club. When the tournament took place on Sunday on the Chaguaramas Public Golf Course, rain washed out play after the completion of only four holes. Competitors were able to complete just two holes after the first heavy shower of rain, and played only two more following the second downpour which left the course waterlogged.
Chris Richards, who recently won the US Golf Teachers Cup in Las Vegas, was among the 24 participating three-ball teams. Also present were Anthony Benny, Simon Merry, Stephen Bishop, Peter Lutchmansingh, Chris Mc Millan, Dave Rajkumar, Ram Lalbeharry, Robert Mc Kenna and Cliff Hinds. Tournament Director, Emily Ramsahai said on Monday that the tournament will now be played in early January.
