Leaders T&TEC will only need a draw against 1976 Phoenix to claim the title, when the teams meet in a re-scheduled match of the bmobile National Super League at the Canaan, Bon Accord, ground, Tobago, today from 3.30 pm. The "Electricity Boys" who have been in tremendous form this season, have also played unbeaten in 16 matches, winning 12, while drawing four. They sit at the top of the standings on 40 points, and with three matches to go, it is only a matter of time before they close things off.
Their closest opponent is WASA, who are on 35 points, however, the "Water Boys" only have two matches left, one of which they will host fellow utility company T&TEC, at the WASA ground St Joseph on December 19. After claiming the Knock-out title, the power company team is eager to finish off the double, after both titles evaded them last season. T&TEC, in their debut season in 2009, showed that they were worth their salt, by placing runners-up to bmobile Joe Public in the league, after they were beaten by Economy Strikers in the knock-out final.
