Na­tion­al play­er Sunil Nar­ine pro­pelled host team Klondykes Sports Club in­to the semi­fi­nals of the Klondykes Sports Club In­vi­ta­tion­al Wind­ball Se­ries 2010. Nar­ine slammed an un­beat­en 39 to steer Klondykes to a ten wick­et vic­to­ry over Tri­an­gle Re­al Street in their quar­ter­fi­nal en­counter at the Aran­juez Sa­van­nah last Sun­day. Chas­ing fifty two runs for vic­to­ry Klondykes need­ed just four overs to over­haul the re­quired tar­get with Nar­ine strik­ing five mas­sive six­es and one four dur­ing his in­ning. When Re­al Street bat­ted they were re­strict­ed to their mod­est to­tal main­ly through the ef­forts of Shawn De Sil­va who picked up two wick­ets with­out con­ced­ing a run and Avian Mejias who claimed two for four­teen.

Al­so se­cur­ing a place in the semis were tour­na­ment favourites Spring Vil­lage Sports who hu­mil­i­at­ed Road Run­ners get­ting home by 53 runs. Spring Vil­lage bat­ted first and piled up 114 for sev­en from the al­lot­ted fif­teen overs with Dwayne James 27, Keron Nor­eiga 22 and Sunil Beep­at 17 their main con­trib­u­tors.

David Balka­ran and Kapil Har­ry picked up two wick­ets each for Road Run­ners. In their re­ply Road Run­ners were re­strict­ed to 61 for sev­en when the overs ran out. Mean­while Mar­ios Ah Crick­et Side scored a ma­jor up­set when they turned back ear­ly pace set­ters Sa­van­nah Boys win­ning by 38 runs. Ah Crick­et Side bat­ted first and man­aged to reach 75 for five at the end of the al­lot­ted overs. Top scor­ers for Ah Crick­et Side were Christo­pher Jag­mo­han and Hay­den Ram­per­sad with 23 and 16 re­spec­tive­ly while Rishi Ram­per­sad was the best bowler for Sa­van­nah Boys with two for nine. Sa­van­nah Boys could on­ly get as far as 37 be­fore they were bowled out. The oth­er quar­ter­fi­nal match be­tween Aran­juez Sports Club and DA Team will be played this Sat­ur­day. In the semi­fi­nals Spring Vil­lage will take on Ah Crick­et Side while Klondykes will clash with the win­ner be­tween Aran­juez and DA Team.
