Favourite Ross Hackshaw made light work of his competition in the Boys Under-14 round robin as action continued in the RBTT Junior Tennis Tournament at the Trinidad Country Club yesterday. Hackshaw didn't drop a game against either Kadeem Peters or Kenneth Leggard, beating them both 4-0, 4-0. Oliver Cattermole also looked solid as he beat Sherviel Farmer 4-0, 4-1 and Joseph Aleong 4-1, 4-1. In a more even-sided match, Nabeel Mohammed edged Jean Luc Robinson 3-5, 4-2, 5-4.
In the Girls Under-14, Rebecca Roberts got the better of Jasmine Elattwy 4-2, 4-0. Boys Under-18 number one Luke De Caires will play his first match of the tournament today against Oriel Bailey in the second round, having got bye. In other matches, De Caires female equivalent Trevine Sellier will take on Shenelle Patrick, Boys Under-16 top seed James Mitchell will play Ibrahim Mohammed, Ross Hackshaw will meet Nabeel Mohammed, Rebecca Roberts will go up against Danielle Devenish and Boys Under-12 first seed Juanaldo Greig will face Timothy Davis.
