KINGSTON–Caribbean powerhouse Jamaica is experiencing financial concerns ahead of next July's World Netball Championships in Singapore. The Sunshine Girls, ranked number four in the World, are scheduled to contest the July 3-10 showpiece but Jamaica Netball Association (JNA) president Marva Bernard said the organisation was struggling to raise the funds necessary for the campaign.
Estimates suggest the JNA will need in excess of JAM$6 million (US$70,754) to send the 12-member squad to the games where they have been drawn in Group C with Singapore, South Africa and Botswana. (CMC)
