The T&T Cricket Board (TTCB) is looking to partner with a private firm to upgrade their facilities at the National Cricket Centre (NCC) in Couva. This, according to president of the board Azim Bassarath. "We are hoping to put in four lanes at the indoor practice nets and improve the lighting at the Centre. We are also hoping to construct a stand between the Administrative Centre and the Academy. We are looking to construct this stand in order to cater for 5,000 patrons," he said.
Bassarath said the board will be looking to partner with a private firm in order to get things done. "We are going to do something that is similar to what Queen's Park does. They partner with firms to get stands built for the Oval and we are in the process of preparing a proposal that would be sent off before the end of January. "We have a very good facility in a central location and we are trying our best to bring the facility up to international standards," said Bassarath.
