The University of T&T exacted revenge on Glamoragn with a four-set win in their T&T Volleyball Federation Carib-sponsored Women's A Division clash on Friday night. In the second match of the night's double-header at the Central Regional Indoor Sports Arena, UTT emerged victorious 25-18, 23-25, 25-17, 25-11 to avenge a five-set loss eight days earlier at the Jean Pierre Complex, Mucurapo.
The win carried UTT into sole possession of top spot with nine points, two ahead of Technocrats which has a match in hand. Glamorgan is next with seven points, one ahead of Southern United while Big SEPos is fifth with four points. In the night's first match, a men's A Division encounter, Technocrats after defaulting the first set 0-25 due to their players late arrival battled back to beat Southern United 25-15, 29-27, 25-17.
Glamorgan and Technocrats now have ten points each from six matches to head the five-team table.
SEPoS and Technocrats are next with eight points apiece but the latter has played a match more while Toco which has six points from five matches. Yesterday, at the Southern Regional Indoor Sports Arena, Pleasantville Southern United met SEPoS women followed by UTT versus Technocrats. In the men's matches, Southern United tackled Toco and Technocrats played Glamorgan.
