So­ca War­riors and for­mer Uni­ver­si­ty of South Flori­da de­fend­er Yohance Mar­shall was dumped by US Ma­jor League Soc­cer club, Los An­ge­les Galaxy ear­li­er this week. This was con­firmed af­ter the Galaxy opened train­ing camp Mon­day shy of two-Mar­shall and Zach John­son. It was dis­closed that Mar­shall who made his T&T se­nior team de­but last No­vem­ber in the Dig­i­cel Caribbean Cup sec­ond round qual­i­fy­ing tour­na­ment con­tract op­tion was de­clined by the club.

A for­mer St An­tho­ny's Col­lege stand-out Mar­shall, who played in three games for the Galaxy last sea­son, was re­leased in late De­cem­ber while the club an­nounced the move Tues­day. He was wide­ly viewed as the fifth choice cen­tre back on the ros­ter and spent most of the past two sea­sons on loan to the Austin Az­tex of the sec­ond-tier USSF D2 Pro League.
