First vice-pres­i­dent of the T&T Crick­et Board (TTCB) Dud­nath Ramkessoon and ex­ec­u­tive mem­ber Patrick Ram­per­sad vis­it­ed Ram­roop's Cou­va home yes­ter­day to of­fer con­do­lences on the be­half of the TTCB. Ram­roop had al­so served as a crick­et ad­min­is­tra­tor, as as­sis­tant sec­re­tary of the na­tion­al league for many years. Ramkessoon said his pass­ing was a great loss for crick­et in this coun­try: "Al­lan served crick­et as a play­er and ad­min­is­tra­tor. He was very ex­pe­ri­enced and the young crick­eters of Cou­va ben­e­fit­ed tremen­dous­ly from hav­ing him around. He al­so served crick­et as an ad­min­is­tra­tor and played to­wards his un­time­ly pass­ing. The en­tire TTCB is sad­dened by his pass­ing."
