There are too many meetings and more streamlining needs to be introduced, i.e, instead of having six racing fixtures with six races why not have four meetings with nine races? That effectively would cut travel costs, the current bane of our great sport (and others) by virtue of colossal increases in petrol prices. There are so many other obvious ideas which need to be implemented, immediately.Last word on this emotive subject, it's incomprehensible to think that less than £18,000 is on offer for the entire AWR meeting at Dunstall Park and yet every race on Betfair betting exchange attracts at least five-hundred thousand pounds as we trade betting/laying.Surely a compromise can be reached with the exchanges and a levy produced to fund English racing.
