The T&T Scrab­ble As­so­ci­a­tion will be hold­ing an open tour­na­ment at the O'Meara Cam­pus of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Trinidad and To­ba­go (UTT) to­mor­row.Based on per­for­mances in the tour­na­ment, a se­lec­tion of nine lo­cal scrab­ble play­ers will be called up­on to com­pete against St Lu­cia in the TTSA/St Lu­cia re­gion­al tour­na­ment sched­uled for the East­er week­end (April 22-25).

It was de­cid­ed by the man­age­ment com­mit­tee meet­ing held on Thurs­day that such cri­te­ria would be used since no play­ers' rat­ings were avail­able.The T&TSA's Open will be cat­e­gorised in­to the ad­vanced, in­ter­me­di­ate and ju­niors di­vi­sions.The tour­na­ment is set to be­gin at 9 am with reg­is­tra­tion start­ing at 8.30 am.Cash prizes will be award­ed to the top par­tic­i­pants.The next open tour­na­ment af­ter to­mor­row's will be held on April 3.
