When the club de­cid­ed to go for the ex­tra for­eign play­er, Hold­er rec­om­mend­ed Ash­ley Nurse and Ram­per­sad went af­ter the off-spin­ning all-rounder: "Al rec­om­mend­ed him high­ly and we got his ser­vices. We are very pleased with Ash­ley at the mo­ment. He has done ex­cel­lent­ly with the ball and mag­nif­i­cent­ly in the field. Over the last week­end his bat­ting came along and he got a half cen­tu­ry, so we are very hap­py with him. "Hav­ing both of them in the team has lift­ed the club and we are ex­pect­ing to go all the way and win our third 50 overs ti­tle." In eight match­es this sea­son, Mer­ry­boys have won five, lost one and two of their match­es end­ed in no-re­sults. Ram­per­sad con­tin­ued: "The two im­ports are do­ing their best to lift Mer­ry­boys and they are of tremen­dous val­ue to us. I have heard of oth­er clubs com­plain­ing about their for­eign play­ers be­ing lazy and on­ly in­ter­est­ed in the mon­ey, how­ev­er, this is not the case with our two play­ers. They are com­mit­ted, fo­cussed and ready to fight for their club."
