When the club decided to go for the extra foreign player, Holder recommended Ashley Nurse and Rampersad went after the off-spinning all-rounder: "Al recommended him highly and we got his services. We are very pleased with Ashley at the moment. He has done excellently with the ball and magnificently in the field. Over the last weekend his batting came along and he got a half century, so we are very happy with him. "Having both of them in the team has lifted the club and we are expecting to go all the way and win our third 50 overs title." In eight matches this season, Merryboys have won five, lost one and two of their matches ended in no-results. Rampersad continued: "The two imports are doing their best to lift Merryboys and they are of tremendous value to us. I have heard of other clubs complaining about their foreign players being lazy and only interested in the money, however, this is not the case with our two players. They are committed, focussed and ready to fight for their club."
