President of AmCham T&T, Simon Aqui, in the opening remarks at the tournament's media launch, expressed that the initiative of the company to include the two charities was for the purpose of educating the public of autism and creating a greater awareness of the brain disorder which costs the Government, as well as private contributors, more than $60,000 per annum in care for each patient. "It is our hope that through this awareness building that we will be able to positively impact upon and change the current attitude towards persons with special needs in our society; all with an aim to improving the quality of life in Trinidad & Tobago for all," said Aqui.
