St John's, Antigua – Trinidad & Tobago batsman Runako Morton has been fined 35 per cent of his match fee following the Trinidad & Tobago v Windward Islands WICB Regional 4 Day match at the Arnos Vale Playing Field. Morton was charged with a Level 1 (Rule 1.1) breach relating to abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground, equipment or fixtures and fittings.
Morton pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the proposed sanction of 35 per cent of his match fee and a hearing was avoided. All Level 1 charges carry a range of between an official reprimand and/or fine of up to the equivalent of 50 per cent of the player's match fee.
