Ten-time national kilo champion and national champion in the flying 200m Azikwe Kellar showed his class at the T&T Cycling Federation's keep fit meet at the Arima Velodrome on Saturday by winning the flying 200m in 11.75 seconds. It was T&T's fastest time of the year as well as the only one under 12 seconds by a senior rider. In second place was Therieff Smart in 12:01 seconds, while Adam Alexander was third in 12:02.
Keller then went on to demonstrate his superior speed by scorching the track in the two lap race for categories one and two. In this race, Kellar, against a field of approximately 15 cyclists, took the bell in the last position and circled the entire peak in a flash to win by a clear four bike lengths. He was followed by second place finisher Elisha Greene and his sibling Ako Kellar respectively. He then completed the hat-trick by winning the standing 250m from Therieff Smart (second) and Jude Codrington (third).
