Na­tion­al kick­box­ing cham­pi­ons Mar­tin Joseph (80kg) and An­tho­ny De­onar­ine (75kg) will be in ac­tion when the T&T na­tion­al team takes on the Cu­ra­cao na­tion­al team at the Jean Pierre Com­plex, this evening from 7 pm.The event sanc­tioned by the In­ter­na­tion­al Fed­er­a­tion Muaythai Am­a­teur, will be con­test­ed un­der am­a­teur Muay-Thai rules, con­sist­ing of three two-minute rounds, with knee con­tact but no el­bows.Keron Bourne (63kg) and De­von Ramkallawan (64kg) will al­so be fac­ing op­po­nents from Cu­ra­cao.

On April 16, the na­tion­al team will take a trip to Bar­ba­dos to com­pete for the Bat­tle in Par­adise event.In this event, the sole fe­male com­peti­tor, Es­ther Khan, will al­so be among lo­cal fight­ers sched­uled to fight.They will face op­po­nents from, the Unit­ed States, Cana­da and host coun­try, Bar­ba­dos.In May, the na­tion­al team will fly to Cu­ra­cao for a re­turn fix­ture fol­lowed by a bout against Mex­i­can op­po­si­tion in Ch­agua­nas on June 25.
