Sen­si An­tho­ny Par­ris is now the T&T Karate Fed­er­a­tion's (TTKF) Li­ai­son Of­fi­cer to the Min­istry of Sport and Youth Af­fairs (MSYA). The vet­er­an sev­enth dan, who is the First Vice Pres­i­dent of TTKF, has pro­duced over 1,000 black belts in T&T and the wider Caribbean and has taught over 10,000 stu­dents. His back­ground in man­age­ment (with BWIA and oth­er ma­jor com­pa­nies) and his vast ex­pe­ri­ence in the sport make him the ide­al can­di­date for this po­si­tion. Sen­si Par­ris and his broth­er Stephen had one of the largest tra­di­tion­al karate schools and keep-fit cen­tres in the coun­try with branch­es through­out the Caribbean.

He was the coach for the T&T net­ball team when they won the World Cham­pi­onships . Mean­while TTKF launched its new Web site (www.ttkf.org) re­cent­ly. TTKF is the largest mul­ti-style karate or­gan­i­sa­tion in the coun­try with over 43 reg­is­tered clubs. The new site is de­signed for mem­bers to get up­dates with the lat­est sem­i­nars, cours­es, and tour­na­ments both at home and abroad. The TTKF cal­en­dar is usu­al­ly set one year in ad­vance and is on the site along with costs, lo­ca­tion and time.
