Team USA rider Daniel Harm got the better of T&T riders on the last day of the Petrotrin Southern Games on Sunday Night at Guaracara Park, Point a Pierre. Harm copped gold in the coveted 10,000 Metres Cycle International event just ahead of promising local rider, Varun Maharaj who finished second. In the early laps, Jamaican rider Marlowe Rodman made a bold move as he sprinted ahead of the pack.
Joshua Alexander kept in close distance as he kept the local team in the action. With four laps to go Germany's Timo Scholz took the front of the pack. He could not hold on to the lead as the pair of Harm and Maharaj put on a remarkable performance in the last 100 metres leaving the German with the bronze medal. It was a close ride between Maharaj and Harm as the results had to be determined by a photo finish.
