Krishna Jaglal gave a splendid allround performance to lead Mohess Road to the 30/30 title as the RS Sports second annual cricket tournament came to an end last weekend. Playing at home in front of a massive crowd, Mohess Road defeated Digity by 100 runs to complete a fine season which also saw them finish runners up to La Fortune in the 20/20 final one week earlier. After winning the toss, Jaglal played a fine innings of 75 to guide his team to 191-6 after its 30 overs.
Fareed Nabbie contributed 46 while Chandrabhan Sookermany took 4-28 for Digity. In its turn at the crease Digity could only muster 91 runs with Jaglal completing a fine match with 3-23 while Daryl Paroo took 3-16. Mohess Road took home the first prize of $16, 000 with Jaglal being named man of the match. Digity earned $6,000 for its second place. Tournament director and sponsor Ramdass Sookbir revealed yesterday that the season's presentation function will be held on Wednesday night when the top teams and several outstanding players will be recognised.
