Marcus Gomez and national youth team striker Garvin Samaroo scored a pair of goals each as Joe Public outclassed Police 5-1 to make it nine straight wins in the Under-17 Division of the Oasis Youth Pro League on Sunday.Gomez opened the scoring in the third minute at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya which it took into the interval.On the resumption, Joe Public stepped up its offense with Seth Holder (55th), Samaroo (58th) and Gomez (60th) scoring in quick succession for a commanding 4-0 advantage.Darlon Findley pulled one back for Police in the 72nd minute but Samaroo was not finished and added a fifth item for Joe Public in the 78th minute to complete the scoring.
The win carried Joe Public to maximum 27 points, eight clear of second-placed clubs, St Ann's Rangers and Adam's Construction San Juan Jabloteh which also won.Rangers lifted by doubles from Jemel Bertot and Lemuel Scott crushed FC SouthEnd 7-1 at St Augustine while Aaquil Campbell's 26th minute earned Jabloteh a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Defence Force at the Queen's Park Savannah.In the Under-15 age-group, Akeem Garcia netted on either side of the half after Daniel Banfield got the opener for Jabloteh in a 3-0 shut-out of Defence Force to close the gap on idle leaders W Connection (27 points) to three points.W Connection (25 points) also saw its advantage at the top of the Under-13 Division trimmed after Jesse Joseph's hat-trick triggered a 3-0 bashing of Police.
