Shahdon Winchester ...heads back to the MLS

T&T’s and W Connection’s forward Shahdon Winchester is off again on trials in the United States Major League Soccer. Winchester, who earlier this year showcased his talents for the technical team of last year’s MLS champions Colorado Rapids, will be joining FC Dallas for a ten-day viewing period. Winchester has most recently represented T&T in Guatemala for the Concacaf Under-20 World Cup Qualifications, and has also been a part of the then Russell Latapy led national senior team with two caps to his name.

Neil Benjamin Jr, also one of W Connection’s promising youth players, having come through the youth programme from age eight into the main team will also join Winchester in Dallas. Benjamin Jr, who will turn 17 in August, has also been part of the national youth squad having played for both the national U-15 and U-17 teams, and has represented his alma mater Naparima College at the Inter Collegiate level. The duo are expected to leave for Dallas today.
