As­sis­tant ref­er­ee Cindy Mo­hammed made her first ap­pear­ance at the cur­rent FI­FA Women's World Cup in Tues­day's group stage match be­tween Swe­den and Colom­bia. The T&T of­fi­cial will know to­day what oth­er match­es she will of­fi­ci­ate. Mo­hammed missed last year's FI­FA Un­der-17 Women's World Cup when she failed a fit­ness test but proved she was up to the tour­na­ment in Ger­many last week.

"It was a re­lief for me more­so be­cause of what hap­pened last year but this time I was bet­ter pre­pared men­tal­ly and phys­i­cal­ly and I got the re­sult," Mo­hammed said. Mo­hammed be­came a FI­FA ref­er­ee in 2002 and ap­peared at Un­der-20 Women's World Cup in Rus­sia 2006 and Chile 2008. She made her first ap­pear­ance at the se­nior women's World Cup in Chi­na 2007 and was al­so se­lect­ed for the Bei­jing Olympics in 2008.
