T&T top dragster Sheldon Bissessar made history upon winning the Ultimate 10.5 Dragster race and reseting the event's speed record in his maiden event at the NHRA Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA last Friday. In the final of the world-famous velocity event, the experienced Bissessar set a new Ultimate Dragster record upon reaching 190MPH. He was up against number one qualifier Eddie Carecia who false started, ultimately giving the victory to Bissessar and the Methanex/Total Lubricants team. Bissessar reached to the final after defeating verteran Mark Mcelwee in the semifinal round in a close encounter, edging his opponent by .05 seconds. Bissessar finished in four seconds at 190MPH.
