Ma Pau sponsors NASC ‘Clash of the Stars’

A cheque for $3,000 towards Clash of the Stars is presented to Leon Demurrell by Ma Pau’s Mercedes Wallis.

Ma Pau Charities has contributed $3,000 towards “Clash of the Stars,” an event organised by New Arising Sporting Company. The event which comprises a number of various sporting disciplines will take place at the Jean Pierre Complex from July 22 to 24. Athletes will dislpay their skills in football and volleyball events where community-based teams will participate. New Arising will also invite youth between 5 and 17 years of age to the Learn2Play Open Day event. New Arising is an umbrella organisation comprising seven volleyball clubs in Diego Martin, Arima, Aranguez and Chaguanas that believe strongly in community building through the sport. It has over 200 registered members. MaPau’s support will go towards defraying costs related to venue rental, sports equipment, tournament prizes, event staff and a disc jockey.
