Floyd Trum­pet has pulled out of his fight with Jo­Jo Dan on Fri­day on the "Night Of Cham­pi­ons" card at the Jean Pierre Com­plex. The card is be­ing staged joint­ly by Floyd Trum­pet Fight Pro­duc­tions and Gio­van­ni Potts. In a press re­lease from Gio­van­ni Potts the oth­er pro­mot­er of the card, it stat­ed that: Joann Bal­go­b­in, head of Floyd Trum­pet Fight Pro­duc­tions, claimed he (Trum­pet) has bro­ken his nose and pulled out of the much an­tic­i­pat­ed fight against Jo­Jo Dan of Cana­da, in which a num­ber of ti­tles were at stake for po­ten­tial shot at the WBC World Ti­tle in a cou­ple months if vic­to­ri­ous.The re­lease con­tin­ued, how­ev­er, for­tune favours the brave and young, and brave Iwan Azore, who was in the right place at the right time, and when asked if he would take the fight, he al­most faint­ed he ac­tu­al­ly dropped to his knees and said :"I be­lieve I'm dream­ing, is this for re­al or am I in a fan­ta­sy".

Azore will con­test for the WBC cabofe and if vic­to­ri­ous against Jo­Jo­Dan he will get a shot at the WBC world ti­tle. All I'm see­ing now is dol­lars and cents and I think I'm mak­ing a lot of sense in tak­ing this fight. I don't know if Trum­pet is aware of the mag­ni­tude of this op­por­tu­ni­ty,but I'm go­ing for it. I sat last night and won­dered is Trum­pet is crazy or is it that his nose is re­al­ly bro­ken or his heart is bro­ken. Well we will see, but I'm not let­ting this one pass me by. Bring Jo Jo Dan, bring Tarzan, I fight­ing any­one any where put him in a phone booth in In­de­pen­dence Square and I will be there to fight, I be­lieve that my fight against Trum­pet in 2008 was a bad de­ci­sion that gave him a win so this is go­ing to be the op­por­tu­ni­ty I am look­ing for to show him that I'm the bet­ter fight­er and that I don't run away from big chal­lenges.

Ad­di­tion­al­ly, the re­lease con­tin­ued: Spe­cial ad­vis­er to the T&T Box­ing Board Boxu Potts has said that Trum­pet will have to pro­vide med­icals to the board with dates and times of the med­icals and al­so the X-rays and al­so have to vis­it the med­ical team ap­point­ed by the board for ver­i­fi­ca­tion of his in­juries. Al­though I know that box­ing is a hurt­ing sport I sym­pa­thise with Trum­pet be­cause he has worked hard to get to this stage, but he al­so has to re­alise that the Min­istry of Sport and oth­er spon­sors have in­vest­ed a lot in this event and he has to go through prop­er med­icals to be deemed un­fit for this card.
