Trinidad and Tobago will look to continue their winning streak today, when fourth round matches in the Regional Under-19 cricket series bowls off today in Guyana. T&T is currently second in the standings with 24.3 points and they will tackle third place Barbados who are on 20.3 points at the Demerara Cricket Club ground. Coach of the team Tarandath Sammy is pleased with the performance of his team so far and thinks they have the weapons on their side to successfully combat the Barbadians. "We are playing good cricket at the moment coming away with two wins in our last two matches. The boys are very confident and they think they will be able to topple the Barbadians. "Our spinners especially Derone Davis have been in good form and traditionally our spinners have done well against Barbados and we are looking for that again this time around."
Sammy added that the batsmen are coming good and the team is peaking at the right time. "The batsmen are starting to get among the runs and at this stage the boys are looking to peak and this is crucial for us." In other matches leaders Jamaica will take on last place Leeward Islands at Everest Cricket ground. The Jamaicans are on 28 points and the Leewards are on 6.7. In the remaining game, hosts Guyana will be up against the Windward Islands at the Bourda Oval. The Guyanese are fourth in the standings with 15.8 points and are followed by the Windward Islands on 7.3.
