Bissessar heads to Ohio’s Night Under Fire
Trinidad and Tobago champion drag racer, Sheldon Bissessar, has accepted an invitation to participate in the sport’s biggest festival, the 34th Annual Night Under Fire, to be held at (NHRA) Summit Motorsports Park, Norwalk, Ohio, USA on Saturday.
Bissessar will participate in the Outlaw Dragster exhibition race, making two passes during the show portion of the race. A pit area has been reserved for his team. He will compete alongside drag racing legends, John Force, Frank Hawley, Larry “Spiderman” McBride, Jim Head, Robert Hight and Jeff Arend.
A sold-out crowd, exceeding 50,000 spectators, usually attends the Night Under Fire festival. Bissessar will also be required to take part in the pre race ceremonies, parade and autograph sessions. “It is a great honour to be invited to such a prestigious motorsport event where only the best in the world can participate. I intend to do Trinidad and Tobago proud on the Ohio race course,” he said yesterday.
