A last-minute effort from Ellis Dyett for bmobile Joe Public in the 89th minute was enough to hold the Stokely Vale to a 2-2 draw in the blink/ bmobile National Super League, yesterday. Ricardo Bennett opened the scoring in the second half for the hosts at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya, for a lead which would last until the 81st minute when Tyrone Manning equalized for the visitors, Stokely Vale.
Michael Carrington then struck in the 88th minute with what looked to be a winner for Stokely Vale, but a last-minute surge from Dyett saw the two sides level for the remaineder of the match. Despite being held, Stokely Vale remain top of the table with 17 points, one point more than WASA, which recorded a 3-2 victory over 1976 FC Phoenix, yesterday.Joe Public went joint second with 16 points with the result.In the other late match yesterday, bottom teams Real Maracas and St Francois Nationals shared the spoils with a 0-0 draw at the Maracas Recreation Ground.Club Sando which won 2-1 at home to Eagles United also leaped to 16 points and tied for second in the ten-team standings.
