T&T Dragon Boat Team wins big in Tampa

The T&T Na­tion­al Drag­on Boat Rac­ing Team re­turned from the re­cent­ly con­clud­ed In­ter­na­tion­al Drag­on Boat Fed­er­a­tion (IDBF) World Cham­pi­onship's Re­gat­ta which took place in Tam­pa, Flori­da with a to­tal of 21 medals be­tween the pre­mier team, the Un­der-18 and the Un­der-23 teams. The suc­cess­ful Un­der-23 team claimed a to­tal of four gold, three sil­ver and three bronze medals while the pre­mier team clinched a sin­gle gold, two sil­ver and two bronze medals. The Un­der-18 team won four sil­ver and two bronze medals.

Since the in­au­gu­ra­tion of the sport in T&T in 2006, dur­ing the Chi­nese Bi­cen­ten­ni­al Day cel­e­bra­tions, re­gat­tas have been reg­u­lar­ly host­ed across both is­lands, in par­tic­u­lar Ch­agu­ra­mas and Pi­geon Point, To­ba­go. The T&T Na­tion­al Drag­on Boat Rac­ing Team has ex­tend­ed ap­pre­ci­a­tion to those who have sup­port­ed them on their "Jour­ney to the Worlds" and wel­come even more sup­port from the cor­po­rate world and Gov­ern­ment.
