Arima Lions host Republic Day 5k walk

Arima Santa Rosa Lions Club’s eighth annual 5K, Walk for Sight, will take place on Republic Day (September 24). The walk starts at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar, Arima, from 6 am. Early resgistration deadline is September  17 and costs $40. Registration on the race day itself will cost $45.

There will be lots of giveaways and all athletes will walk home with a medal for particpation. Breakfast will be on sale from 7 am to 10 am. Tickets cost $30 and are available from all Santa Rosa Lions Clubs. Patrons wishing further information have been asked to contact 667-3377, 667-0887, 667-4088, 667-3136, 713-6906.
