Shevon Fred­er­ick scored the on­ly goal of the match which gave Club San­do a 1–0 win over Re­al Mara­cas in the Blink/bmo­bile Na­tion­al Su­per Foot­ball League at the Man­nie Ramjohn Sta­di­um, Mara­bel­la on Mon­day. Fred­er­ick's 78th minute goal was enough to see the home side get to the top of the ten team ta­ble. Club San­do now sit on 19 points, two ahead of Stoke­ly Vale, which are on 17 with a match in hand up to to­day's fix­tures. Stoke­ly Vale will be look­ing to re­take the lead when they trav­el to the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um train­ing field to take on bot­tom club St Fran­cois Na­tion­als at 4 pm.

Two oth­er match­es will al­so be played at 4 pm. Ea­gles Unit­ed trav­els to To­ba­go to chal­lenge 1976 FC Phoenix at Canaan, Bon Ac­cord, while WASA FC chal­lenges West Side Su­per Starzs at WASA Ground, St Joseph. De­fence Force were orig­i­nal­ly card­ed to take on bmo­bile Joe Pub­lic to­day but the fix­ture was sub­se­quent­ly resched­uled to fa­cil­i­tate the "army­men's" du­ties dur­ing the on­go­ing lim­it­ed state of emer­gency.
