Ma­haraj, bask­ing in the glo­ry of his In­de­pen­dence Cup suc­cess with First To Fly, can again claim top ho­n­ours when he sad­dles top-weight­ed, Black­stone Street and Back On Top in the fea­ture 1,750 me­tres event for three-year-old and over, rat­ed 100-80. The for­mer Stew­ards Cup win­ner, has been at his best for some time now but with the Ma­haraj sta­bles re­turn­ing to good form, Black­stone Street could re­gain the win­ning thread at the main ex­pense Strikes Not Spares, which will be seek­ing to land back-to-back vic­to­ries.

Last time out, the Christo­pher Prime trained Strikes Not Spares came with a de­ter­mined run to get the bet­ter of Cu­bic Ca­pac­i­ty, which is again in the line-up. The De­r­ick Mosca trained Burst Of En­er­gy is ex­pect­ed to go close. How­ev­er, the Harold Chadee-trained sped­ster, El Ban­di­do De Oro could go all the way, if giv­en an un­con­test­ed lead.
