Trinidad and To­ba­go winger Lester Pelti­er scored a first-half dou­ble and set up an­oth­er to guide AS Trencin to a 4–0 win over FC Tatran Pesov in the Slo­va­kian First Di­vi­sion yes­ter­day. Pelti­er took on two de­fend­ers be­fore see­ing his shot par­ried, al­low­ing team-mate Boris Go­dal to score on the re­bound to put Trencin 1–0 ahead in the fourth minute. Pelti­er then scored his team's third goal in the 29th minute and fol­lowed up with an­oth­er clin­i­cal fin­ish three min­utes be­fore half time. Pelti­er is like­ly to be re­called by Ot­to Pfis­ter for T&T's up­com­ing 2014 World Cup qual­i­fiers against Bermu­da and Bar­ba­dos.

In oth­er news, Car­los Ed­wards and Ja­son Scot­land both saw ac­tion in Ip­swich Town's 0–0 draw with Mid­dles­brough in the Eng­lish Cham­pi­onship on Sat­ur­day. Scot­land had an ef­fort which came back off the cross­bar. He was sub­sti­tut­ed in the 85th minute af­ter re­ceiv­ing a knock but was not re­port­ed to have suf­fered a se­ri­ous in­jury that will force him out of ac­tion. Eng­lish-based mid­field­er An­dre Bou­caud al­so played the full 90 in York City's 3–0 win over Lu­ton Town in the Eng­lish Con­fer­ence League. Collin Samuel was not in the Lu­ton team for the en­counter.
