Trinidad and Tobago winger Lester Peltier scored a first-half double and set up another to guide AS Trencin to a 4–0 win over FC Tatran Pesov in the Slovakian First Division yesterday. Peltier took on two defenders before seeing his shot parried, allowing team-mate Boris Godal to score on the rebound to put Trencin 1–0 ahead in the fourth minute. Peltier then scored his team's third goal in the 29th minute and followed up with another clinical finish three minutes before half time. Peltier is likely to be recalled by Otto Pfister for T&T's upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Bermuda and Barbados.
In other news, Carlos Edwards and Jason Scotland both saw action in Ipswich Town's 0–0 draw with Middlesbrough in the English Championship on Saturday. Scotland had an effort which came back off the crossbar. He was substituted in the 85th minute after receiving a knock but was not reported to have suffered a serious injury that will force him out of action. English-based midfielder Andre Boucaud also played the full 90 in York City's 3–0 win over Luton Town in the English Conference League. Collin Samuel was not in the Luton team for the encounter.
